# Brand kit | Slingshot

> Slingshot is building agentic brand systems: a brand delivered as files, MCP servers and CLIs that people and agents both work from.

Every rule carries its reason, so a person or an agent can apply it to a case nobody wrote down. The same files are on npm, and the MCP server is listed in the MCP Registry, so an agent can read the kit without this site.

## Guides

- [Voice](https://slingshot.fyi/kit/voice): Slingshot writes like a plain, careful engineer: specific claims, full sentences, nothing inflated.
- [Layout](https://slingshot.fyi/kit/layout): One centred column on an empty page, read from top to bottom.
- [Typography](https://slingshot.fyi/kit/typography): Three faces with separate jobs. Families and sizes are in tokens.json.
- [Colour](https://slingshot.fyi/kit/color): Ink on paper, with one quiet grey. The values are in tokens.json.
- [Mark](https://slingshot.fyi/kit/mark): The mark is a slingshot's fork with the stone just above it, already let go: mark.svg, drawn on a 24 by 28 grid. mark.png is the same mark on paper at 512px, for avatars.

## Which guide to read

Read this file first. It routes you to the guide for the work in front of you; you rarely need all of them.

| If you are making | Read |
| --- | --- |
| Copy of any kind: a page, an email, a post, a deck | `voice.md` |
| A page, a screen or a slide | `layout.md`, then `typography.md` and `color.md` |
| Anything that shows the mark | `mark.md` |

All values (colours, type, sizes) live in `tokens.json`; `tokens.css` is generated from it. Use a token, never the raw value, so a change made once reaches every surface.

When two rules conflict, the earlier guide in this list wins: voice, layout, typography, color, mark.

If something you need is not covered, do not guess. Ask, or leave a visible note that the kit is missing a rule.

## Use it

- See which guide to read for a task: `npx -p @slingshot-fyi/brand-kit slingshot-brand guide`
- Check a stylesheet for colours that are not tokens: `npx -p @slingshot-fyi/brand-kit slingshot-brand check src/*.css`
- Give Claude Code the kit while it works: `claude mcp add slingshot-brand -- npx -y @slingshot-fyi/brand-kit`

## When to use

- **Make a brand usable by AI agents:** Slingshot turns a brand into files, tokens, an MCP server and a CLI, so the agents a team already uses can make on-brand pages, decks and copy without guessing.

## How to use

1. Email hey@slingshot.fyi with a short brief: what you are building, who it is for, and when you need it.
